Yesterday was my third and final Saturday of teaching watercolor at Montserrat College this spring. Today I was able to finish demos from class. Inspiration came from the early morning sunrises and amazing rock formations, crevices, and tree growth in the Huangshan Mountain region of China.
Mountain Sunrise, 18" x 24
Morning Shadows, 18" x 24"
Beautifully vibrant contrast colors with highlight on shapes make them very attractive Robin, did you finish the last 2 chakra paintings or Did I miss them?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous work, Robin!!
ReplyDeletepadmaja, I had to shift my creative focus during the workshops I teach and still have 2 more chakra paintings waiting for me - Manipura and Ajna. I will be able to complete the series soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sherry. I had fun with color, that's for sure!
Beautiful, Robin. Have you been in China?
ReplyDeleteChina is a place I dream about, and one day I hope to visit. Painting the Huangshan Mountains is my ongoing interpretation of where I believe Heaven meets Earth.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning Robin. I can see the love you have of possibly being there someday expressed in these paintings!
ReplyDeleteEva, I never realized I had a bucket list, but as I get older I acknowledge to myself there are things I want to do, and places I want to visit, in this life time. In the meantime, painting these places has to be the next best thing to being there.
