The deadline for the
Evanston Art Expo is fast approaching (October 21 inventory lists are due) and I am working diligently. I have a few other additional "things" in the works, and when I have the facts I look forward to sharing.
"Autumn Sky"
6" x 6" encaustic on panel
"Snow Reflection"
6" x 6" (another version)
Robin, your work is so unique and creative! I love the softness and texture that you achieve with the fibers. It really brings out the mood of the piece. I like the pollinator below too! This is a wonderful style for you, it's very expressive!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katherine. I am not using fibers, I am using beeswax, resin, and pigments to create the textures.
DeleteOh both pieces are just stunning, Robin! I love your work!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry! Just took a bunch of marathon photos, runners in motion will be a future project.
DeleteI'm catching up here. I love all these new pieces and I love that you're so busy with exhibitions and getting into "oldest" organizations. I think Chicago filled you with inspiration and energy.
ReplyDeletethanks, Hallie. I have been able to focus on new small works with upcoming exhibition opportunities. I agree and think the move has revitalized my entire life, not just my art.
ReplyDeleteRobin, you captured two extremes of nature and it's beauty! Agree that your move has brought in a great deal of creative energy and variety, so glad for you !
